Here is a link after the jump below to a story/interview I enjoyed featuring Dr. Henry Panion III from CBS 42 Birmingham, AL discussing the tradition of The Negro Spiritual and his work creating Classical arrangements of the same To quote Dr. Panion, "Please enjoy this recent interview I gave to Sherri Jackson of CBS 42 on the historical and cultural significance of the negro spiritual."

I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Panion briefly over a year ago when I had a fish out of water experience at a music conference in Indianapolis. One of the many bright spots of that weekend was meeting Dr. Panion III.
I was an instant fan for a few reasons:
- From and represents well my father's home state of Alabama.
- A musical geee-nius (as said with a Wile E. Coyote affectation) across many genres.
- Works with Stevie Wonder (could have been the only item on the list honestly).
- An individual with amazing credentials that was also kind and quite polite to an obvious novice who was at his first music conference ever, namely me.
Below is a link to his production company, Audiostate 55 Recording Studios & Entertainment.
God bless,
